What SWA Does

Formed by the Pakistan Navy and the Civil Society SAHIL WELFARE ASSOCIATION took upon itself the noble assignment of helping coastal populations. The task at hand is now no longer simply protecting coastal and creek regions, but additionally empowering Pakistan’s coastal populations and presenting help and humanitarian resources to uplift their general living conditions for the duration of any disaster relief operations.

Education

Coastal communities face several demanding problems in the education sector that make it nearly impossible for teachers to receive the right training & students to receive basic education. These problems include an Absence of educational infrastructures, no requisite human resources, and the Non-availability of technical resources and skills to assist college students and instructors in transitioning into the modern era of education.

To secure a bright future for the coastal youth populace this sector has to be revised as education plays a fundamental role in building nations. SAHIL WELFARE ASSOCIATION has helped make a footprint in this sector by establishing Bahria Models Schools and Colleges in coastal / creek areas of residence to facilitate the local masses in those areas in attaining a good educational base at a minimal fee.

Coastal communities lack the bare minimum health care facilities. The communities face critical issues including the Non-availability of life-saving drugs, procedural equipment, ambulance services & unskilled and untrained health care workers. Moreover, eye diseases are growing at an alarming rate in the coastal belt which can be credited mainly to the lack of eye care facilities available on the entire coast.

Clean Water

Clean and pure drinking water has been a long-standing issue in the area as well. It has contributed considerably to the rise in medical cases such as naegleria, malaria, and other abdominal diseases. SAHIL WELFARE ASSOCIATION aims to expand its growing facility of providing pure drinking water to the numerous other areas that are still extremely deprived of it.

Miscellaneous

If we take a look at the Poverty graph among the coastal populace, we will see a constant downward trend with no stable jobs or income prospects for coastal workers. Furthermore, coastal citizens face non-availability of electricity, which ends up in both no or very lengthy load shedding, which plays another major hand in depriving these areas of development.

Ration Drive

Ration drives are carried out throughout the year to support these coastal populations since most families are unable to even afford the most basic amenities such as a monthly ration to support their family however, the distant geographical locations of coastal populations make this situation graver, and as they become more and more inaccessible ration drives are becoming more and more tougher to carry out with the SAHIL WELFARE ASSOCIATION team putting in their all to make sure as many families are catered to as possible.
